Lonestar Adventure Race

The Lonestar Adventure Race promises to deliver a fun and challenging adventure with diverse terrain
ranging from beautiful plateaus to gravel roads along with some fun single-track trails.
The 2020 Lonestar AR will feature a sprint race geared toward those new to adventure racing which
combines trail running, hiking, mountain biking and possible team challenges. If you have ever wanted
to try adventure racing but were intimidated - this is the perfect introductory race for you!
Racers looking for a tougher challenge can take on the 6-hour race, which will include trail running,
hiking, mountain biking, navigation and an Eco Challenge style water challenge.
The Lonestar AR is the perfect adventure race for both the first-timer or the experienced racer. So,
grab a teammate and join us for the adventure of a lifetime!
Sprint Race Information
Marked course where team members travel together for 3-4 miles of trail running &
hiking, 7-10 miles of mountain biking and possible team challenges. Teams may be required
to punch a passport on the course, so teams should consider bringing gloves, a plastic bag
to place their hand inside or hand sanitizer to use when punching the passport. Race starts
at 8 am with all teams finishing by 11 am.
Required Gear: Mountain bike, biking helmet
(CPSC, ANSI, or SNELL certified), closed toed shoes, food, water, a way to carry water such
as a camelback or bottles.
Suggested Gear: Rain jacket, cold weather clothing, sun screen, insect
repellent, hat, sun glasses, first aid kit, spare tubes, patch kit, cycle computers, pump, cell phone, whistle.
Prohibited Items: Firearms.

Cost Per Person: Early Bird $95 Register by Oct 16 / $105 Register after Oct 16 / Children 15 & under $30
*There is an additional land use fee (Adults $10 / Kids 6-11 $5 / 5 &
under free) for all racers and spectators to be paid at the ranch –
if you camp the land use fee will be included at no charge.
USARA License: The USARA fee has been waiver for all sprint racers.
6 Hour Race Information
Team members travel together 7-12 miles of trail running, hiking & navigation, 15-25 miles
of mountain biking, possible team challenges and an Eco Challenge styled water challenge.
Teams will have 6 hours to acquire as many check points as possible. Teams may be required to
punch a passport on the course, so teams should consider bringing gloves, a plastic bag to place
their hand inside or hand sanitizer to use when punching the passport. Race starts at 8 am with
all teams finishing by 2pm.
Required Gear: Mountain bike, biking helmet (CPSC, ANSI, or SNELL certified),
closed toed shoes, compass, food, water, a way to carry water such as a camelback or bottles.
Suggested Gear: Rain jacket, cold weather clothing, sun screen, insect repellent, hat,
sun glasses, first aid kit, waterproof map case, spare tubes, patch kit, cycle computers, pump, cell phone,
whistle.
Prohibited Items: GPS devices that show your position, display maps, distance
traveled, etc are prohibited (SPOT trackers and other GPS devices that record your route on a device to be
accessed after the race are allowed), distance measuring devices such as foot pod accelerometers and
pedometers are prohibited (cycle computers and Fitbits are permitted), radios, other communications or
internet access devices are prohibited (Mobile phones are permitted but must not be turned on during the race
except for emergency calls), maps other than those provided by race staff and firearms are prohibited.

Camping is available on Reveille Peak Ranch and includes the land use fee for the race.
There are restrooms with hot & cold showers. There are also several RV spaces available
with electricity and water.

Right to Cancel or Reschedule
Rapid Pulse Racing LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to an
unexpected emergency such as an act of war or act of God to include but not be limited to
natural disaster, flood, tornado, bad weather and disease.
I understand that there are NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES if this event is cancelled with no
ability to reschedule. I understand that there are NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES if I register
for the event and cannot attend the event or a reschedule date. Each participant must accept
this risk for their entry paid.
